University Credit Union

University Credit Union came to us with a desire to expand their brand and in particular promote their home and auto loans. They had done a variety of traditional media in the past, including billboards, TV spots and newspaper. Their experience with online marketing was limited, and they wanted to get their brand noticed online.

We set up a pay-per-click campaign that focused on broadening the credit union’s online reach and impact. In order to find the right network to host their ads, we researched University Credit Union’s core demographic and found websites that fit their target audience profiles. We also developed a unique landing page that include an auto loan calculator that allowed users to interact with the landing page. With the insertion of tracking phone numbers and analytics, we were able to track the number of leads that sought for more information.

We used multiple online advertising platforms to reach the most people possible. These networks included Google display and search networks, Bing search network, Zillow.com, KSL.com, and Comcast Online networks.

The campaign was successful at reaching nearly 2 million impressions each month on relevant online networks, and engaged over 1,500 people every month on the landing page. We were also able to track which branch locations were getting the most traffic from the web and divert our funding to broaden those markets.

Le Jardin

Before turning to Fluid for help, Le Jardin used a variety of outbound tactics because their website just didn’t seem to be of any use for them in terms of sales. They couldn’t manage it the way they wanted, and the pages they had were not optimized for SEO. Potential customers just were not finding them. Instead Le Jardin turned to outbound tactics such as promotional flyers, telemarketing, and trade shows, all of which experienced minimal success.

In addition, their new website had no system set up for blogging and they needed to find an out-of-the-box solution for blogging needs. They knew that blogging was a great way to bring in new prospects to their site. Founded in 1947, the Rose Shop is one of Utah’s oldest and most prestigious floral businesses. As a Larkin affiliate, the Rose Shop is an all-occasion, full-service flower company located in Salt Lake City and Sandy. The business struggled to gain leads in a very competitive marketplace and their website was not generating enough traffic for them to achieve the huge growth goals the company had set for itself. Overall, brand awareness was somewhat stagnant and they were having a difficult time presenting their product on two fronts—to both the business and personal customers. As the area grew, the Rose Shop continually watched as smaller, more versatile companies captured their business. The company was using a variety of approaches to their marketing with no clear defined strategy. Their small team needed to gain a better understanding of where to best devote their efforts for the greatest return on their marketing investments.

Fluid immediately built a better plan for the Rose Shop's SEO and helped them evaluate and adjust their content.
